Dikie is a certified FEI Level 1 coach and a well-accomplished competitive rider himself who represented Indonesia in numerous international competitions.  As our most experienced instructor, he oversees the riding school and guides our more advanced riders.

We are pleased to welcome Jiaqi to our team as a Freelance Trainee Instructor. A certified Introductory Coach under Equestrian Australia, Jiaqi brings over a decade of riding experience and has trained in Australia, the United States, and Canada, with a strong focus on dressage and rider biomechanics. Committed to supporting each rider’s unique goals, she tailors her lessons to build competence, confidence, and enjoyment in the saddle. We look forward to the expertise and enthusiasm she brings to our coaching team.

Molino is an Australian Thoroughbred gelding, born in 2014. He has a sweet nature, loves scratches, and enjoys giving kisses. After retiring from racing, where he earned over $200k in prize money, Molino has transitioned into an amazing jumping horse. His affectionate personality and talent make him a favourite among riders.

Ben is a New Zealand-born Thoroughbred gelding, foaled in 2016. Throughout his racing career, he won over $150,000 in prize money. Now a cherished member of our riding school, Ben has transitioned seamlessly into his new role. He delights in giving kisses in exchange for treats and has quickly become a favorite among riders. His enthusiasm for both jumping and flatwork showcases his versatility.

Magneto is an Australian Thoroughbred gelding, born in 2013. After retiring from racing and winning over 200k in prize money, Magneto transitioned to a new role at our riding school. He has adapted well to his new environment and is particularly curious when young children walk by his stall, often engaging with them in a gentle and inquisitive manner. His demeanour and friendly disposition make him a cherished addition to our equine family.

Fleur is a Belgian Haflinger mare, born in 2019. This adorable and curious mare has a big personality and an even bigger love for scratches—she’ll turn herself towards anyone passing by, hoping for a good scratch. Fleur is quickly becoming a favorite at the riding school with her enthusiasm for both jumping and flatwork. She knows that she is pretty and she tries to trick people to get her own way. 

Ibora is a 2017-born Polish cold-blooded black tobiano mare with a sweet and curious nature. Always alert and eager to please, she gives her best in everything she does. Ibora enjoys the company of her stablemates—especially her pony friend La Bomba—and never says no to treats, making her a lovely addition to the riding school.

Goldenfield is a Brazilian-born Thoroughbred gelding, born in 2019. Though picky with his treats, he never says no to a carrot! Now settling into his new role at the riding school, Goldenfield is quickly becoming a favourite among our riders. With his charming personality and gentle nature, he is a wonderful addition to our team.

Hero was part of the very first group of ponies brought in from Europe for our riding school! He was born in 2000 in Germany and has done everything from lessons and competitions to roadshows and therapy for the EQUAL-ARK programme. This pony loves to jump and really packs a punch going through a course!

Phil is the other half of the Phil and Joopi duo. The skewbald miniature pony, born in 2002, is cheeky, smart and gets along well with all the other horses. He does get into some trouble once in a while and has been known to escape from his stable and run through Bukit Brown Cemetery.

Joopi is half of our dynamic miniature horse duo, Phil and Joopi, who are the faces of many of our programmes at the NEC! Joopi is our mischievous little grey, born in 2005, who made his way to Singapore from Germany with his friends Phil, La Bomba and Hero. Joopi tends to keep to himself when in a group, but don’t be fooled by his small stature. He more often than not can be found right in front of the pack when the horses have a run around the paddocks!

Bambi is our feisty little superstar! Full of personality and always ready to make you laugh, she’s playful, clever, and loves showing off her cheeky side. Small in size but BIG in character, this funny pony will steal your heart in no time!

Karina is our sweet polish primitive-type pony, who is another favourite in the riding school! Slow and steady, Karina takes care of her riders, many of whom, learning to ride for the very first time. She is a dark dun, our most unusual coloured horse at the NEC, so it is easy to spot her in a crowd!

Lando is our talented, strong-headed, handsome dark bay pony. Born in 2004 in Germany, Lando made his way to the NEC in 2011. Because of his strong character, Lando can be tricky to ride, but once you figure out the right way to ask, he is one of our most competitive ponies and will do his best for you! He is extremely talented in jumping and has a lovely presence and carriage for dressage.

Impero is our very large polish pony, born in 2008, from Germany. He came at the tender age of 3, and has been at the NEC since. Impero has seen many riders through their riding journey, including Singapore’s Paralympian, Maximillian Tan. He is talented in both dressage and jumping and has been very successful particularly in jumping competitions.

Imperial Falls is a Light Bay Thoroughbred gelding, born in 2013. He is the first ex-racehorse adopted by the NEC as part of the retraining of racehorses project in 2019. Imperial has adapted to his new career well and is very honest and kind to his riders. He shows talent in both dressage and jumping and has already done a handful of competitions with his lease riders.

La Bomba was one of our first ponies brought in for our riding school. He was born in 2001 in the Netherlands, and has been at the NEC since 2010. La Bomba is very sweet-natured, making him the perfect pony for riders to learn on. He has dabbled in both dressage and low level jumping, and one year competed in the FEI World Dressage Challenge (held in Singapore) and won his class!

Streisand is a german haflinger mare, born in 2008, who came to Singapore in 2012. Streisand is a steady and reliable addition to the NEC riding school, and even dabbled in some dressage in 2019 and came 4th with her rider at the National Dressage Championships in a strong field of competitors. She is very vain and loves attention. She always makes her presence known and you can hear her calling out to everyone when she comes to the arena or arrives at a new venue.

Loyalty Man was adopted from the racetrack for the NEC riding school in January 2021. The handsome brown gelding, born in 2012, has a quirky personality and lots of potential in both dressage and jumping. Manny was successful during his early start as a racehorse in Australia, winning a total of 480k prize money!

Zhu Ge Liang (Zeus) is one of our newest members of the riding school. He was adopted from the racetrack in March 2021. The chestnut gelding, born in 2014, only had a couple of starts in racing. He is charismatic and bold, showing great potential as a jumper.

Mighty Emperor is a bay thoroughbred gelding from South Africa. Born in 2011, Mighty began racing in Singapore in 2015, before making his way to the NEC in April 2021. Mighty was very well loved at the racetrack, and we can see why! He has a very kind, laid back character and always tries his best for his rider. Though he might have come a little older than most of our off the track thoroughbreds, he has adapted well to his new job and shows great potential as a dressage horse.

Yitai Loyalty is the youngest of our off the track thoroughbreds. Born in 2016, Yitai came to the NEC in April 2021 after only having a few starts on the track. He is exuberant, has three great paces for dressage and definitely has some great springs for jumping!

Volta is a Polish cold-blooded mare, born in 2013. Gentle and sweet-natured, she has a special way with children and loves attention from riders on the ground. She is best friends with Ibora, and the two are always together. With her calm and affectionate personality, Volta is quickly settling into life at the riding school.

Mirabelle is a very valuable member of the riding school. The german haflinger mare, born in 2006, is an enthusiastic, forward-going pony, who is great at both low-level flatwork and jumping. She has taken many competitive young riders through their first competitions. She is very steady and reliable, and also super fun to take around a jumping course.

Tales of Summer has become one of the riding school’s favourites. The chestnut gelding, born in 2011, is our second off the track thoroughbred. In the early days in the riding school, Summer was a steady solid horse for our beginner riders but has since shown great talent and potential in dressage. As a racehorse, Summer managed to win over 250k in prize money!

Sir Isaac is a tall, brown thoroughbred gelding adopted from the racetrack in January 2020. Born in 2013, Isaac was a successful racehorse, having won over 300k in prize money. He is the biggest diva of all the racehorses at the NEC, but also very smart. He took a while to adjust to his new career in the riding school, however, has blossomed into one of our more advanced horses, schooling solidly at Elementary.

Gold Crown is our 2012, bay thoroughbred gelding, who was adopted from the racetrack in 2020, just as we went into Singapore’s first Covid lockdown. Also another successful racehorse, winning over 300k in prize money, Crown adapted well to his new career in the riding school and has proven to be a willing and honest jumper. 

Hee’s Forte (Jupiter) is a another one of our off the track thoroughbreds. The bay gelding, born in 2011, has an extremely willing and sweet personality. He does get nervous at times and therefore needs a quiet, confident hand. He is a lovable, quirky addition to our riding school, and will always try his heart out for you.
